Rangers' chances of qualifying for the Champions League group stage in 2022/23 are seriously jeopardized following a 2-0 defeat at Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.


Union are attempting to make their first European appearance since 1964, while Rangers are hoping to return to the Champions League, but Gio van Bronckhorst's side will face a mountain to climb at Ibrox next week.

Teddy Teuma's calm finish put Union ahead before the break, and Dante Vanzeir doubled their lead with a controversial late penalty.
