Manchester United has reached an agreement to sign Adrien Rabiot for an initial fee of £15 million.

Manchester United and Juventus have agreed to pay an initial £15 million for France midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The player's personal terms are still being discussed, and while Juventus are willing to sell the 27-year-old, a deal will need to be approved by his agent and mother, Veronique.
Rabiot has 29 international caps and has previously played for PSG and Toulouse. He has five Ligue 1 titles and one Serie A title to his name, but he has a track record of inconsistent discipline, including being fined for being late.

Despite mixed signals from Barcelona regarding a sale of the Netherlands playmaker, United manager Erik ten Hag remains hopeful of signing his main midfield target, Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong. The transfer would cost United €65 million (£55 million) plus €20 million in addons, the structure of which has yet to be determined.

Chelsea are thought to be the frontrunners in the race to sign De Jong. They have held talks with Barcelona about signing the 25-year-old and believe he prefers them to Manchester United. According to Spanish sources, the 25-year-old is adamant about staying put.

United, who lost 2-1 at home to Brighton on Sunday, are also interested in signing Bologna midfielder Marko Arnautovic to help bolster the club's depleted attacking options. The fee for the 33-year-old would be in the region of £10 million.

Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot has insisted that United's defeat to Brighton will not change the team's focus as they rebuild under a new manager.

"This result will not deviate us from the path we need to take," the full-back said. "It's a setback, but in football you don't have time to think; now we have to analyze and do better."

"There are still some positives; we had some good moments in the second half, and we were a little bit more organized." We'll have some time this week to organize and will definitely be better prepared for the Brentford game [on Saturday]."
