LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Twins are clinging to first place in the American League Central as they embark on a five-game West Coast road trip, beginning tonight at Dodger Stadium against Los Angeles lefthander Julio Urias (11-6, 2.57).

The Twins (57-51) lead Cleveland by one game and the White Sox by two games. The Angels are in Detroit, while the White Sox are in Kansas City, where they will play two games today.

With a record of 75-33, the Dodgers are 16 games ahead of second-place San Francisco in the National League West.

Byron Buxton is the Twins' designated hitter tonight, as Luis Arraez is not in the lineup against a lefthander. Arraez leads the American League in batting average (.329).
