"Your heartfelt prayers and kind thoughts are felt and received," the post said.

Amy Grant, a Christian singer-songwriter, returned home on Friday after being hospitalized after a bicycle accident in Nashville.

According to Grant's media representative, Grant hit a pothole while riding near Harpeth Hills Golf Course on Wednesday. She stayed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Wednesday and Thursday nights, where doctors treated Grant for injuries sustained in the accident.

According to the statement, she was wearing a bicycling helmet at the time of the accident.

"... doctors have ordered more recovery time at home for Amy, where she is now resting comfortably," according to a statement issued Friday afternoon.

Grant canceled a few upcoming August concerts due to her recovery, including stops at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville on Aug. 18 and the Robert Kirk Walker Theatre in Chattanooga on Aug. 19.
