All of Massachusetts and New Hampshire are under a severe thunderstorm watch.

Across some areas of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, tornado warnings that were issued Thursday afternoon have since expired; nonetheless, severe thunderstorm threats persisted for hours afterward in most of New England.

For a portion of the afternoon and evening, severe thunderstorm warnings were in place for sections of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, but they have now expired.

On Thursday afternoon, as thunderstorms pass over New England, the possibility of additional severe weather remains. For the majority of the evening, a severe thunderstorm watch was in force for the area, and wind gusts of up to 75 mph were predicted.
